- It is the responsibility of the Soccer Director of each school to ensure that the head coach of each of their school's teams has a CYC ID number prior to the start of the season. These are obtained by the coach attending the CYC coach training class "Coaching To Make A Positive Difference". See CYC website www.cycstl.net for class information.
- There will be a mandatory meeting for all head coaches on 8/28/08 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary Magdalen
Parish Hall, 4323 South Kingshighway, located on the west side of
Kingshighway. It is the responsibility of the Soccer Director of each school to ensure that their coaches attend the meeting. An additional $100.00 will be added to each team fee if the coach for that team fails to personally attend the coach's meeting without prior approval from the League Commissioner.
- The deadline for each team's application is 8/8/08. Please submit an additional application if the make-up of the team changes dramatically. Initial rosters are due 8/24/08. Final rosters are due 9/24/08. Please submit updated rosters as necessary.
- It is the responsibility of the Soccer Director of each school to contact the parents of the incoming Kindergarten class prior to the start of school in order to meet the application and roster deadlines for any such team.
- Kindergarten and First Grade leagues start the weekend after Labor Day. Second Grade leagues start the day after Labor Day. Leagues run for 9 weeks.
- League teams field 8 players including the goalkeeper. Eligible players are children in Pre-K, (age 4 prior to the start of the season) Kindergarten, First and
Second grade. Contact League Commissioner if you need players to complete a team or have players in need of a team.
- The league fee for each team is $175.00 if received on or before the day of the coach's meeting. It is recommended that the check be brought to the coaches meeting. Thereafter, the league fee is
$225.00 for each team. Checks payable to the
Judge Dowd Soccer League.
- There are no official wins or losses, and league standings are not kept.
- Player trophies are provided by the league. Please return extra trophies to League Commissioner.
- Referees are provided and compensated by the league. There is zero tolerance of criticism of the referees.
- The Kindergarten Girls and First Grade Girls league games are played on Sundays and the Kindergarten Boys and First Grade Boys league games are played on Saturdays at Magdalen Parish Center Mullally Fields
(4354 South Kingshighway).
- The Second Grade league games are played at Msgr. Sullivan Memorial Field at Epiphany Parish. The boys league is played on weeknights (6pm or 7pm) and Saturdays. The girls league is played on weeknights (6pm or 7pm) and Sundays or all weeknights depending on field availability on Sundays. (

- Boys teams play in all boys leagues and girls teams play in all girls leagues unless it is necessary to add mixed boys/girls teams to complete a league. Mixed grade teams play in the older grade division.
- All make-up games are played at the small field at Lindenwood Park (Jamieson & Lindenwood). Upon agreement of
the coaches to play a make-up game, contact the League Commissioner to schedule a game. Lindenwood Park field is available for make-up games and practices on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Sundays from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Contact League Commissioner for field permit.
