- All head coaches must complete the CYC coach training class "Coaching to Make a Positive Difference" and the "Protecting God's Children" workshop prior to the start of the season. See CYC website www.cycstl.net for more information.
- The application deadline for all teams is 8/12/2012. Rosters are due 8/27/2012. Please submit updated applications and rosters as necessary.
- In an effort to increase the number of Pre-K and Kindergarten teams and meet the application deadline for any such team, it is recommended that, prior to the start of school for the Pre-K and Kindergarten classes, Soccer Directors or Pre-K/Kindergarten coaches contact the parents of the incoming Pre-K/Kindergarten class to generate interests in forming a team.
- The Pre-K league teams field 6 players one of whom is the goalkeeper. Eligible players are children in Pre-K and are at least 4 years old prior to the start of the season.
- The Kindergarten league teams field 6 players one of whom is the goalkeeper. Eligible players are children in Kindergarten and Pre-K (age 4 prior to the start of the season).
- The First Grade league teams field 7 players one of whom is the goalkeeper. Eligible players are children in First Grade and Kindergarten.
- The Second Grade league teams field 8 players one of whom is the goalkeeper. Eligible players are children in Second Grade and First Grade.
- The league starts on Friday, September 7, 2012, and runs for 9 weeks. Games are played at Msgr. Louis F. Meyer Youth Center at Magdalen (Mullally Field) or Lindenwood Park (small field).
- Lindenwood Park field is 35 yards wide and 55 yards long.
Mullally North and Mullally South fields are 40 yards wide and 60 yards long.
- Boys
teams play in all boys leagues unless it is necessary to add mixed boys/girls teams to complete a league. Girls teams play in all girls leagues. Mixed grade teams play in the older grade division.
- Contact League Commissioner if you need players to complete a team or have players in need of a team.
- The league fee for each team is $225.00.
Each school's Soccer Director should provide one check for all of their teams made payable to the Judge Dowd Soccer League and mailed to:
Judge Dowd Soccer League, 8 Homeland Place, St. Louis, MO 63109. To avoid a late fee of $100.00, league fees must be received before September 30th.
- There are no official wins or losses, and league standings are not kept.
- Player trophies are provided by the league. Please return extra trophies to League Commissioner.
- Referees are provided and compensated by the league.
There is zero tolerance of any criticism or protest of a referee’s decision. A referee evaluation form is available on the referee section of the website to advise the League Commissioner of any compliments or complaints about the officiating.
- Make-up Games:
Make-up games are played at Lindenwood Park (small field). The field is available for make-up games on week nights. There is enough daylight to complete a game with a 5:30 starting time until approximately October 20th. If there is an agreement between the coaches to play a make-up game, please contact the League Commissioner for information on field availability.
