WELCOME TO THE 2008 SEASON
MARKING THE 43rd YEAR OF
THE JUDGE DOWD SOCCER LEAGUE!

Welcome to the home of the Judge Dowd Soccer League. The league was
named for my father, Judge Robert G. Dowd, Sr., who founded the league in 1965 for boys and girls in kindergarten,
first and second grade. The mission of the league is to provide players with instruction in the fundamentals
and rules of the game, while stressing the importance of sportsmanship and teamwork.
To ensure that the league is a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone, it is the responsibility of
every coach, parent and player to follow the league rules, comply with the codes of conduct and set an example of
sportsmanship at all times.
Please contact me with any questions or recommendations to improve the league. I welcome comments about the
